About Me

Hi! Thanks for looking at my website! I’m a technical artist with 3 years of experience in the UK games industry and currently working at Spliced Inc.

I have always been intrigued by the intersection of art and graphics engineering. Working on shaders, materials, in-engine pipelines, tooling , VFX, and profiling – and loving exploring new concepts and developing my _____

I like to tackle new concepts and expand upon the knowledge I’ve gained from my experience in my personal projects. Using Unity and Unreal throughout my education and professional career. Whilst I definitely have a soft spot for Unreal, I enjoy working in both engines and learning how to get the best out of the both of them πŸ™‚

I have a keen interest in shaders, materials and graphics pipelines, always peering over on in the graphics engineering department for inspiration. I’ve had the pleasure of working on shaders, materials, in-engine pipelines, tooling, VFX, profiling and more in my experience.

My personal projects are a mixture of both exploring new concepts, and trying to distill all I’ve learned into a more ambitious piece of work. I feel most at home with Unreal after spending the last 8 years using it throughout education and industry experience, but I love Unity almost as much too.

Outside of work I write music and play piano and guitar, on stage every now and then. I also do photography, live music and portraits being my favourites to shoot, which has given me a new perspective on visual arts over the past couple of years.

Helping others with learning technical art has been some of the most gratifying moments with both students and colleagues. Finding others who love to delve into new topics and get really confused is my favourite part of working in the games industry.
